Bad Teacher (2011)
She doesn't give an "F."
Teachers should always be accommodating so that students feel comfortable asking questions about topics, they cannot understand. They also have to be patient and never show an ill temper which will just show unprofessionalism. They also have to be competent so that people will know their capabilities as a teacher, and they should set good examples to the students because students spend majority of their time every day in school with them. Since teacher will be there to greatly influence them, so they really have to be careful with their actions, words and behavior. Well, this is the traditional setting of a teacher. Wait till you watch this new film starring Cameron Diaz who shows the exact opposite of what they should be.
If your profession is related to teaching, you will either hate or like this comedy that will be released mid this year. It shows the untraditional traits of a teacher – which you might hate because people might associate the rudeness and ill mannered attitude to a teacher. But on the other hand, you might also like this film because – let’s face it! It is still possible to find people who can make your day the most terrible one if she wishes. So if these type of teachers see how this kind of attitude affects others, they might (hopefully) change for the better.
The movie will be released to the public on June of 2011. This is directed by Jake Kasdan and starring: Cameron Diaz who played the role of Elizabeth Halsey, Lucy Punch who played the role of Amy Squirrel, Jason Segel who played the role of Russell Gettis, John Michael Higgins who played the role of Wally Snur, Justin Timberlake (the rumored boyfriend of Cameron Diaz in real life) who played the role of Scott Delacorte, Molly Shannon. You will also see the following supporting actors and actresses like – Eric Stonestreet, Phyllis Smith who is playing the role of Lynn Davies, Thomas Lenon who plays the role of Carl, Halabi and Noah Munck who plays the role of Tristan.
The film is marketed by Sony pictures, produced by Jimmy Miller and distributed by Columbia pictures and Sony Pictures again. They have a rated “R” for its MPAA rating. It shows some nudity, sexual scenes and other inappropriate scenes not suitable for very young audiences. The entire film is a collaboration of well known people in the industry. Aside from the award winning casts, it’s made perfect by the following people: Cinematography by Alar Kivilo, editing by Tara Timpone, and the screenplay done by Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky and the studio production took place at the Weinstein Company and the mosaic media group. The plot of the story shows a very bad teacher in the character of Elizabeth Halsey played by Cameron, who does not show even the slightest characteristic of what a real teacher should be. She is foul mouthed all the time and the students cannot expect any kind of care from Hasley. In short, she does not want her job and she is not happy being in that kind of job. Her frustrations will be seen in every action she makes. She drinks alcohol like a man, she acts high whenever she’s drunk or under the use of prohibited drugs, and she ever wanted really was to leave her job and find something of her interest. Hasley was dumped by her fiancé and because of this, she set her mind that she will be marrying someone who is rich, handsome and practically the one she can call Mr. Right, and that person is played by Justin Timberlake. All teachers Hasley (Cameron) do is to attract Mr. Scott Delacorte (Justin) to the point of undergoing breasts implants just to catch his attention. Hasley is not only a bad teacher towards her students, but is also a very good example to show the best traits to show in order for your colleagues to hate you.
The tag line of the movie says: She does not give an “F”. Those who have seen the full trailer said that it was their very first time to laugh out loud and got extremely excited to see how this film will satisfy every audience by giving equal dose of comedy, romance, sex and other components that blended together very well. Although, the trailer and casts cannot justify a movie’s success all in all, we-The audience still have to watch the full film and then judge it after.
Anyway, I know we are all excited to see the film and finally say that this is something worth watching and waiting for.
