Midnight in Paris (2011)
C'mon people, it's Woody Allen again, the man who has given us other great pictures and a man who is known for his knack at producing the best romantic comedies. Therefore, there is one more reason why you should yearn for the month of May because his new thrilling comedy is hitting the screens with a loud bang on 20 May 2011. Written and directed by Woody Allen, this romantic film will teach you what it is like to grow up, not only in life, but in every aspect of life. You will never regret going to watch this one.
Aren't we all full of illusions in every aspect of our lives? This is just what it tries to teach you, that beyond the illusions, there is a reality. You can swim all you want in illusions but the reality will hit you hard. This is what happens to a young couple, engaged to be married, who travel to Paris with their family on business. They learn that life is more than what you just see at a glance. They learn what it is like to experience the pasture on the other side. The good thing is that this story is so romantic such that you might miss the overall message that it is supposed to pass across. However, the good thing is that you will love it all, every bit and every scene of the movie.
Many of Woody Allen's pictures have hit their intended mark, and as it is wont to happen in this business, some of them have missed the target altogether. However, there is one thing that you should know, and that is that Midnight in Paris is the best film, not only by Woody Allen standards, but in the genre of romance/comedy that you have watched in a long time. If you can, why not just take a peek at the trailers on the video networks?
