Prom (2011)
Aimee Teergarden, Thomas MacDonell, Daniel Campbell, Nolan Scotillo, Yin Chang and Jared Kusnitz among others are the unknown actors and actresses who star in the movie. That they are virtually unknown is one of the reasons why you want to go and watch this because curiosity riles. There is this notion that new and unknown is better and is always more exciting than what is familiar.
It is all excitement at one high school prom night. However, excitement is an understatement. What happens here is a conflicting of different emotions as many teenagers grope with the idea of being free at last. Aimee Teergarden (real name Nova Prescott) is drawn to Thomas MacDonell against her will and therefore, for her, it is a real battle of wills as she tries to find her footing. However, Thomas is getting in the way of her perfect dance date. The battle of wills raging in her mind is clearly visible as the forces pull her in different directions.
Tyler and Mei harbor secrets, look at each other knowingly and the rest of the cast are all anxious, just as you were during your high school prom night. All that can be said about this film is that it makes something click in you, something that you can identify with. As you reminisce on your prom, if ever there was one, you will identify with most of the characters. However, what happens in the movie? Watch out for it on 29th April 2011 to know.
As a teen comedy, it will do more to you than a comedy. It will bring many emotions to the core; emotions that you never even knew existed in you. You will never regret going to see this story from Disney Pictures, who have always packaged one perfect surprise after the other.
