Rio (2011)
this turkey can't fly
Cinemas are packed with a so many family movies that you couldn’t move to the concession stores without seeing a family of kids with parents. There are so many production companies that string a few scenes together and then chew in and throw out a few awful lines together with a worse script but there are still that would surprised you.
Today there are a lot of cartoons out for the kids; there are a lot of family cartoons out now that aren’t really up to scratch and even some of the more classic cartoons are making sequels to them that don’t really stand up to the original.
A lot don’t have the same feel to them and they don’t keep the same tone to the cartoon but there are so many family movies coming out that it is almost every week that you see a new one gracing our screens but one which could be a popular cartoon is Rio.
Jesse Eisenberg voices the character of Blu, a young bird that wants to leave his old city of Minnesota and flew to Rio but he finds love along the way with Jewel voiced by Anne Hathaway as they struggle to fly to a new destination and new life.
Now with a lot of cartoons there is always the thought that they are going to be loaded with fancy technology but this doest and just sticks to the basics. You are really getting a great film here, there is over an hour of family entertainment for you to have so you can take the kids to see this and they won’t be let down in any way.
Even the older kids are going to love this because it really is a film for all ages that you won’t be bored.
Cast: Jesse Eisenberg, Anne Hathaway, will.i.am, Jamie Foxx
