Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011)

Michael Bay, an acclaimed producer and director due to his history in making action and adventure films which always have a steep budget, is the director of this installment of the Transformers, Transformers: Dark of the Moon. His love for making films started back when he was a little boy when he devised a plan to attach firecrackers at the rear of a toy train then he filmed the whole thing until the fire department arrived to put off the disaster. By age 15, he decided to become an intern for George Lucas; during that time his job was to fill the storyboards of the movie “Raiders of the Lost Ark”. Before the release of the movie, he criticized it and actually thought that it was a terrible film, but when he saw how it came to be in the big screen, that’s when his perception changed and that was also when he realized his calling in life was to become a director. In 1986, he went to Wesleyan University and majored in Film and English. After graduation he entered in graduate school to study more film at the Art Center College of Design. When he finished graduate school, Bay didn’t start directing movies right away, he started by working as a director of music videos as well as commercials for Propaganda Films. Some of his advertisement projects include the Coca-Cola ad with the inspiration of the World War II, Red Cross commercial, Got Milk? Campaign, and many more. He has also been directing music videos by artists including Faith Hill, Aerosmith, Meat Loaf, Wilson Philipps, Lionel Richie, Tina Turner, Divinyls, Vanilla Ice, Gregg Allman, Richard Marx, and Donny Osmond. In film, his greatest works include “Bad Boys” in 1994, “The Rock” in 1996, “Armageddon” in 1998, “Pearl Harbor” in 2001, “Bad Boys II” in 2003, “The Island” in 2005, “Transformers” in 2007, and “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” in 2009. This new installment of the Transformers is yet again another must-watch for many movie goers.

Michael Bay had the chance to work with producers Steven Spielberg, Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Ian Bryce Tom DeSanto, and Don Murphy; writer Ehren Kruger; Steve Jablonsky for the music; Amir Mokri for the cinematography; and Roger Barton, William Goldenberg, and Joel Negron in editing. He then started to join comedy clubs at the very young age of ten and the from then on he wandered around the yellow pages to look for an agent. From then on, he was given roles in movies and television shows including “Even Stevens” a Disney Channel series, “Holes”, “Disturbia”, “Transformers”, “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”, “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”, and “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” as only among his projects ever since he joined the world or entertainment.

A new update on the existence of an unusual spacecraft found in outer space called the Cybertron has been kept a secret even to the Autobots. By the time the news spread like wildfire, more and more entities showed their interest in the said spacecraft and have sent their own people and machines in order to uncover its secret. It’s a race against time for the Autobots to reach it before the Decepticons end up learning its secrets which can lead to the world destruction and domination by the said robots. But because the Autobots weren’t informed about the existence of such discovery earlier now together with the humans need to face the impending war that they have to face.

Will it end in peace or will the Decepticons finally rule over the world as they always planned ever since the first installment of the Transformers film series. This is what you’ll find out once the movie is already out in theatres near you.
